2025 School Year Begins at Maya Jaguar

A new school year finds our Maya Jaguar campus filled near capacity with eager Maya students ready to learn and improve their opportunities for a better life! As the reputation of our secondary education program continues to spread through the remote villages of western Guatemala, parents clamor to enroll their children in the hope for a better future. 

For school year 2025, which runs from January to October, student enrollment is at an all-time high with 57 students. Funded through the generosity of individual donors like you and managed by a dedicated all-volunteer staff, our transformational education program offers accelerated core subjects, enhanced with practical life skill classes - philosophy, science lab, woodworking, sewing and nutritional classes.

Our dedicated and well-trained teaching staff includes two former Maya Jaguar graduates who qualified for university studies to obtain their teaching certifications, as well as two full time female teachers to complement our returning teaching staff.
